Elementary & Middle School Weekend Camp

Grades 1-6

Coach Chris Ramos himself was able to place in High School PIAA -AAA states as a freshman, but has also coached others to win HS states as a freshman. Grades 1-6 is a journey to become prepared for those years, and this camp will help benefit this plan and journey to get there.

Camp Philosophy

Many times, the “beginner” wrestler learn moves and holds in a mixed unrelated fashion, and there is no real underlying system or philosophy to the instruction. This Training Camp is different! It is designed to give the young wrestlers the fundamentals that are critical for present and most important, developmental future success, as well as teach them a system of wrestling. Your wrestler will learn how to drill correctly. Your wrestler will also learn the vital importance of stance, hip position, and the techniques that all champions must have in order to win. Skills such as set-ups, proper leg attacks, finishes, scrambles, and the front headlock will be mastered. Other techniques will be discussed. However, because most championships are won on the feet, takedowns will be the focus. This is an intensive camp for the schoolboy and novice wrestler.
